What I Liked About Caribbean Beach

The biggest win for me is the transportation.

Caribbean Beach has access to the Disney Skyliner, which connects guests to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and other select Disney Resort hotels. Not having to rely only on buses for every park day is a big deal, especially when you are trying to make mornings easier.

I also liked the overall resort feel. It has a relaxed, tropical vibe without feeling overly fancy. It still feels very Disney, but not in an in-your-face way.

Old Port Royale is the main hub area of the resort. That is where you will find check-in, concierge services, shopping, dining, and some of the main resort amenities.

For families, the main pool is also a strong point. If you are planning resort time, this is not just a place to sleep.

What I Did Not Love

The size.

This resort is spread out, and that can be annoying depending on where your room is. After a long park day, “just a little walk” does not always feel little.

That is why I would be picky about room location here. I would not book this resort for someone and ignore where they might end up. Some people will care more about being closer to the Skyliner. Some will care more about being closer to Old Port Royale. Some will just want the quietest possible area.

This is exactly where using a travel agent helps, because the best room request depends on the trip, not just the resort.

Who I Would Recommend Caribbean Beach For

I would consider Caribbean Beach for:

• Families who want a Moderate Resort with better transportation options
• Couples who want a more relaxed Disney resort feel
• Guests planning a lot of EPCOT or Hollywood Studios time
• People who like tropical theming
• Travelers who want a resort with a fun pool and solid amenities
• Guests who want more than a Value Resort but do not want Deluxe pricing

I would especially look at this resort if Hollywood Studios is a big priority. The Skyliner makes that much easier.

Who I Would Probably Not Recommend It For

I would be more careful recommending Caribbean Beach for:

• Guests who want a small, easy-to-navigate resort
• Families with very young kids who will be exhausted at the end of the day
• Anyone with mobility issues who wants the shortest possible walks
• People mostly focused on Magic Kingdom
• Travelers who want a luxury feel
• Anyone who gets annoyed by resort layouts with multiple sections

It is not that Caribbean Beach is bad for those people. It just may not be the easiest fit.

My Honest Travel Agent Take

Caribbean Beach is one of those resorts I would not book just because it is available or because it has the Skyliner.

I would want to know your park plans, your budget, your travel style, and how much walking your group can realistically handle.

Because for one family, Caribbean Beach could be the perfect Disney resort.

For another family, it could feel like too much walking and not enough convenience.

That is the difference between booking a Disney trip and planning the right Disney trip.

Final Verdict

Would I stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort again?

Yes, for the right trip.

I like the Skyliner access, the tropical feel, and the fact that it gives you more resort experience than a Value Resort without automatically jumping into Deluxe pricing.

But I would be strategic about it. I would care about room location. I would think through park days. And I would not recommend it the same way for every client.

That is why I like seeing these resorts myself. It helps me give better advice than just reading a list of amenities online.
